Privacy Policy

Articulation Coach ("Articulation Coach", "we", "us", "our") is a product of Jarzac Group Pty Ltd (ABN 58 606 370 012), based in New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use articulationcoach.com and the Articulation Coach service (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Information you give us

• Account details. Your email address, which we use to sign you in with a one-tap magic link. We do not ask for or store a password.
• What you type or say. The answers you write or speak when you rehearse a scenario.
• Payment details. If you subscribe, your card and billing details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number. We keep a record that you are a subscriber, and limited billing information from Stripe.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage and progress. The scenarios you attempt, your scores, and your progress across programmes.
• Basic technical information. Our hosting provider records standard technical information when you visit, such as your browser, your device type and your IP address, as part of serving and securing the site.

Voice input

If you speak your answer, your browser's own speech recognition converts it into text. We never receive or store your audio.Only the text reaches us. Depending on the browser you use, that speech recognition may be carried out by your browser's provider, for example Google in Chrome or Apple in Safari, under their own privacy policies.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• provide the Service, including scoring your answers and giving you coached feedback;
• sign you in and keep your rehearsals and progress saved to your account;
• process your subscription and payments;
• send you service messages, such as sign-in links and billing notices; and
• understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.

How your answers are processed by AI

To score your answers and generate coached rewrites, the text of your answer, and where you use voice the transcribed text, is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, and processed by their models. This processing is what powers the coaching. We send only what is needed to produce your feedback. We do not sell your rehearsal content, and we do not use it to identify or profile you beyond providing the Service.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, and only so they can perform their function. These are:

• Supabase, for the database and sign-in. Stores your account, rehearsals and progress.
• Resend, for email. Sends your sign-in links and service emails.
• Stripe, for payments. Processes subscriptions and stores billing details.
• Anthropic, for AI. Processes the text of your answers to generate scores and coaching.
• Vercel, for hosting. Hosts and serves the website.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

Cookies and tracking

We use only what is needed to keep the Service working. Your sign-in session is stored in your browser so that you stay logged in, and if you are not signed in your progress is stored on your own device.

We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. We do not run tracking pixels, and we do not track you across other websites. There is nothing here for you to opt out of, and no consent banner to click through.

If this ever changes, we will update this policy before any tracking is switched on.

International transfers

Some of our providers, including Anthropic, Stripe and Vercel, are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries. This means your information may be transferred and stored outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled with protections consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information and rehearsals for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or de-identify your account information and your rehearsals within 30 days. We keep billing records for as long as the law requires, generally seven years, to meet Australian tax obligations.

Your choices and rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us to:

• give you access to the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong or out of date; and
• delete your account and associated data.

To make a request, contact us at admin@jarzac.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are in a region with additional rights, such as the EU, the UK or California, those rights may also apply to you.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including access controls on our database, and processing payments through Stripe rather than handling card details ourselves. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

Children

Articulation Coach is intended for adults and is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
